Emberdeep – Privacy Policy

Effective date: 30 September 2026 · Developer: Sudesh Chhipa

This policy explains how the game Emberdeep (“the game”), on PC (Steam) and mobile, handles information. In short: the game collects nothing unless you choose to join our optional mailing list, the Ember Circle, and then only your email address.

Information we collect

Only if you join the Ember Circle: your email address and your consent to receive email. Joining is optional, needs you to tick a consent box, and the game plays fully without it. We use your address only to send news about Emberdeep and our future games. We never sell or share it with anyone.

The address is stored in a Google Form and its linked Google Sheet (Google acts as our processor under the Google Privacy Policy). If we later move the list to a mailing service, it will be used only for the same purpose.

The game has no accounts of its own, no advertising, no analytics and no third-party tracking SDKs, and it does not access your contacts, location, camera, microphone or files.

Unsubscribing and deleting your email

Every email we send includes a way to unsubscribe. To have your address deleted at any time, contact us (below) with the address you used, and we will remove it within 30 days.

Information stored on your device

To remember your progress, the game saves a small amount of data only on your device: your run in progress (a checkpoint saved at the start of each floor), Forge upgrades and embers, run statistics, achievements and your settings (sound, music, graphics quality, screen shake). It is deleted when you uninstall the game or clear its app data.

Steam

On Steam, achievements are reported to Steam and your save file may be synchronised by Steam Cloud if you have it enabled. That data is handled by Valve under the Steam Privacy Policy; the developer does not receive it.

Network access

The game works fully offline. It only goes online to send your email when you join the Ember Circle (and, on Steam, for the Steam features above).

Children

The Ember Circle is not intended for children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their email addresses. If you believe a child has signed up, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If a future version adds features that handle personal information (for example ads or in-app purchases), this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the effective date above will change.
